On March 7, a ceremonial event took place in Flanders dedicated to the establishment of the Kyrgyz diaspora called Ala Too Belgium.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, this event, carried out with the support of the country's embassy, symbolizes the strengthening of cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Belgium, as well as the support for ideas of gender equality and a healthy lifestyle among Kyrgyz citizens living abroad.
During the event, the embassy presented commemorative gifts and provided a voluntary financial contribution to support the activities of Ala Too Belgium.
The establishment of this diaspora has become an important step in the development of the Kyrgyz community in Belgium and is part of the national project "I - a Citizen of Kyrgyzstan," initiated by President Sadyr Japarov, aimed at strengthening civic identity and patriotism among Kyrgyz citizens.
