The Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic announced that, starting from April 1, 2026, at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, the salaries of all educators will be doubled compared to current figures.
The ministry clarified that rumors suggesting that the salary increase applies only to teachers of STEM subjects, while history, Kyrgyz language, geography, and other subject teachers will remain unchanged, as well as information about reducing hours for these subjects, are inaccurate.
The increase will affect all teachers, regardless of the subject, emphasizing the important role of educators in the development of society.
“Every teacher in a school plays a key role in educating the future generation, fulfilling a vital state task,” the ministry noted.
