The Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic informs that, at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, starting from April 1, 2026, all employees in the educational sector can expect a salary increase of 100% from the current level.
The agency noted that rumors suggesting that the increase would only apply to teachers of STEM subjects, while teachers of history, Kyrgyz language, and geography would remain unchanged, are not true. The opinion regarding a possible reduction in teaching hours for these subjects has also been refuted.
The salary increase will affect all teachers, regardless of the subjects they teach, emphasizing the significance of their contribution to the development of society.
“Every educator fulfills a strategic task of nurturing future generations,” the Ministry emphasized.
