Today it became known that the branch of the state insurance company in Bishkek made insurance payouts to 31 drivers under OSAGO and CASCO policies. The total amount of compensation amounted to 2 million 906 thousand soms.
Baktybek Junusov, the deputy director of the branch, noted that previously the process of considering payouts took up to a month, but now, according to the management's directive, payouts are made within two weeks.
“To date, citizens are receiving their insurance certificates. Since the beginning of this year, our branch has paid out 48 million 959 thousand soms. For comparison, the total amount of payouts for the entire year of 2025 was 69 million 746 thousand soms, which is historically high. According to our estimates, there are about 2 million vehicles registered in Bishkek, of which only 10% were insured in 2025. It is also worth noting that in addition to our company, there are 17 other private insurance organizations operating in this field,” he added.
OSAGO represents a program of mandatory insurance for civil liability of vehicle owners.
The legislation on OSAGO was adopted in 2016, but its full effect began on September 1, 2025.
