A meeting of representatives from the National Investment Agency and the international project BRICS Pay took place in Kyrgyzstan. The main topic of discussion was the creation of a new payment gateway that is expected to improve transactions for both individuals and legal entities (C2B and B2B) in the country.
According to information from the agency, the goal of implementing this project is to create a new financial infrastructure for payments. BRICS Pay represents a decentralized digital settlement system aimed at simplifying financial operations between BRICS+ countries. The platform guarantees secure and stable payments in national currencies, creating conditions for fast and reliable financial transactions. The mission of the project is to unite countries and users through modern payment technologies that ensure efficient international settlements.
During the discussion, participants examined the investment and infrastructure opportunities for implementing BRICS Pay in Kyrgyzstan. Project representatives also presented the business model and technological architecture of the new system.
The Deputy Head of the agency, Meerimbek Koichumanov, expressed readiness to support the implementation of the BRICS Pay payment gateway project, which could positively impact investment attraction to the country.
The implementation of this project is expected to bring several advantages for Kyrgyzstan, such as reducing dependence on foreign centralized payment systems, enhancing control over integration with the national payment system, and developing modern digital financial services.
