In the current year, as part of the national initiative "Zhasyl Muras," the planting of 9 million seedlings is planned in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by Almaz Musaev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, during a broadcast on Birinchi Radio.

He noted that the volume of planted seedlings in the country is increasing every year:

in 2022, 6 million were planted;
in 2023 — 7 million;
in 2024 — 8 million;
in 2025 — 8.5 million.

“As a result of implementing the plan over four years, nearly 30 million seedlings will be planted in the republic. Considering that about 70% of them take root, this means that 22-23 million trees will successfully grow. However, it is worth noting that under the conditions of Kyrgyzstan, with its climate and altitude above sea level, the process of tree growth takes more time. It is difficult to see significant results in 3-4 years,” added Musaev.

The organization of the "Zhasyl Muras" campaign has been coordinated at all levels — from local akimats to ministries, and the planting of seedlings will begin in the coming days.
