Academic titles will be recognized in the EAEU without additional certifications

The draft agreement on mutual recognition of academic titles has been agreed upon by five states and is now awaiting the completion of domestic procedures. This was announced by Elimbek Kanibek uulu, head of the EAEU coordination department, at a press conference at the Kabar agency.

He noted that at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, which took place in February of this year, this agreement was practically approved.

“We are at the final stage of agreeing on this document. After it comes into force, scientists and educators with academic titles will be able to work in Russia, Kazakhstan, or Armenia without the need for additional certifications. For example, if someone is a professor in Kyrgyzstan, their title will be recognized in Russia as well,” he explained.
Elimbek Kanibek uulu added that the implementation of this agreement will create favorable conditions for the free scientific activity of specialists within the union states.
