The aim of this event is to reduce the number of road traffic accidents and prevent them.
There has been an increase in cases where drivers make modifications to their vehicles, including changing lighting devices. This can pose a safety threat to all road users.
Drivers who violate traffic rules may be held accountable: for serious violations, a fine of 5,500 soms is stipulated under part 2 of article 194 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. This applies to operating a vehicle that has been modified without the appropriate permits from authorized bodies. Such vehicles may also be temporarily placed in an impound lot until all violations are rectified.
