The Ministry of Transport and Communications reports that reconstruction work on the Bishkek–Kuntuu–Shopokov road is ongoing. The main goal of the project is to expand the road to four lanes.
On the first section, which is 0 to 3.9 km long, curbs are currently being installed, and asphalt is being laid on the sidewalks within the village of Kuntuu. Additionally, the foundation is being strengthened on the segment of the road from Kuntuu to the village of Tokbay, and tree cutting is taking place on the section between Tokbay and Kara-Sakal.
The total length of the road section is 12.4 km.
