In 2025, labor migration flows from Kyrgyzstan amounted to about 170 thousand people. This information was announced by Esenbek Ergeshov, head of the Labor Migration Department of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to his data, about 25 thousand migrants found jobs with the help of the center and private agencies: 5,500 people through the center and 19,500 through agencies.
“This accounts for only 15% of the total number of migrants. The remaining 85% leave independently, relying on their own resources, acquaintances, and word of mouth. Unfortunately, such individuals often face difficulties, including labor exploitation and human trafficking. We, for our part, continue to monitor those who leave through us until their return to their homeland,” noted Ergeshov.
He also added that there is a positive trend in Kyrgyzstan. If five years ago about a million people left for work every year, now many of them are returning due to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the country.
“Previously, Kyrgyzstan was a labor-exporting country, but now we have started attracting foreign citizens to work on our territory,” concluded Esenbek Ergeshov.
