At a recent meeting with the directors of educational institutions in the Kara-Suu district, the head of the school education department of the Ministry of Education, Melisbek Muzulmanov, informed those present about the phased plan for transitioning to a 12-year education system.

Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, first, second, fifth, and seventh grades will begin studying under new programs.

According to Muzulmanov, this year, third, fourth, sixth, and eighth grades will be added to the aforementioned classes, after which the transition to specialized education will be organized. Currently, a concept for specialized education is being developed, and once it is approved, issues regarding its implementation in educational institutions will be addressed.

Furthermore, Muzulmanov emphasized the importance of calendar-thematic planning, which represents an individual distribution of the annual curriculum with a creative approach from the teacher. The recommended plan, prepared by the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, can be adapted by educators according to their preferences.
