Repairs Begin on the Bishkek – Osh Highway at the Too-Ashuu Pass

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the start of repair work on the Too-Ashuu pass, located on the Bishkek–Osh highway.

According to the department, the road surface will be renewed on the section from 130 to 146 km, where the old asphalt will be removed and a new layer will be laid.

In addition, the road maintenance enterprise (DMP) No. 9 is replacing the barrier fences on the section from the "Sosnovka" post to the approach to the Too-Ashuu pass (80-139 km).

According to the information, the installation of 200 units of parapet fences is planned, of which 180 have already been installed. "These fences have not been updated for more than 20 years, since the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Osh highway," the message noted.
