Mario Balotelli, the 35-year-old former forward of the Italian national team, has officially joined 'Al-Ittihad', which competes in the UAE First Division.
This week, the forward arrived in the United Arab Emirates and, according to local sources, signed a contract for two and a half years. Fans' interest in the club was fueled by a recent Instagram post featuring the player's silhouette with the question: "Our next transfer?"
'Al-Ittihad' is currently at the bottom of the First Division table with 6 points after 11 matches played, and the management hopes that Balotelli's experience will help the team get out of this difficult situation.
Throughout his career, Balotelli has played for clubs such as Inter, Manchester City, AC Milan, Liverpool, and others. His move to 'Al-Ittihad' marks his 14th club and the sixth country where he will continue his career. The last match the forward played was for 'Genoa' in December 2024. He has made 36 appearances for the Italian national team and scored 14 goals, with his last appearance on the field in 2018.
