Athletes from the Jayil District and Kara-Balta Won Prize Places at the International Tournament in Strike Grappling

In Bishkek, on February 7-8, the international open cup in strike grappling for children, youth, and adults took place.

The competitions were organized in various categories: Category A for beginners, Category B for intermediate-level athletes, and Category C for professionals.

About 500 athletes from different regions of Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries—Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan—participated in the tournament.

The Jayil district was represented by 20 athletes under the guidance of coach Syrgak Zhaparkulov, who achieved the following successes:

- Ali Sayipzhanov — 3rd place in the weight category up to 34 kg,

- Ayat Tabaldiev — 3rd place in the weight of 41 kg,

- Bekzat Abilov — champion in the 50 kg category (1st place),

- Bekbolot Patpidinov — silver medalist in the weight of 66 kg, Nurel Nurlanov — bronze medalist,

- Erbolot Apsatarov — 2nd place in the weight of 72 kg.

Among the tournament participants were also 7 athletes from the "Manas" sports complex in Kara-Balta, trained by Almaz Mambetov. Six of them won medals. Almaz Mambetov became the champion in his age category.

Berdaali Toktogulov — 2nd place in the weight of 38 kg,

Nurel Omurbekov — 3rd place in the weight of 44 kg,

Elmirek Sadyrbekov — 1st place in the 43 kg category, remaining an undefeated champion for two years.

Duyshonaly uulu Ramazan — 3rd place in the weight of +50 kg,

Ariet Zholdoshov — champion in the weight of 66 kg (U-18),

Ali Akhmedov — champion in the weight of 69 kg (U-16).

The winners and prize-winners received diplomas and commemorative medals from the international federation of strike grappling.
