At the cross country championship held on February 21 in the Japanese city of Fukuoka, the national team of Kyrgyzstan in athletics took second place. This competition, known as the 18th Asian Athletics Cross Country Championships Fukuoka 2026, demonstrated a high level of athletic training among our athletes, reports the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
The team included Nursultan Keneshbekov, Jusup Sulayman uulu, and Tilekjan Zhekshenaly uulu. All three athletes successfully completed the 10-kilometer distance, allowing them to win silver medals.
The first place in the competition was taken by the team from Japan, while the bronze medals went to representatives of the People's Republic of China.
