On March 1, the Mayor's Cup in swimming took place in Osh, according to local administration information. The event was organized to select 25 swimmers for participation in international competitions.
Among the participants were the mayor Janarbek Akaev, the chairman of the Osh city council Bolot Bayetov, as well as leaders of relevant organizations and the athletes themselves.
During the tournament, swimmers demonstrating the best results were selected. The 25 strongest athletes will form the city of Osh swimming team and will prepare for performances in republican and international competitions.
There was significant interest in the competitions: 158 applications were submitted. The competitions were held in the pool of the "Bulak" health center. Following the tournament, winners and prize-winners were awarded medals, diplomas, and valuable prizes.
