The national team of Kyrgyzstan demonstrated excellent results at the international tournament "Cup of the Founders of Sambo," which took place in Moscow from March 24 to 26. According to information from the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, more than 200 athletes from 10 countries participated in the competition.
The tournament was held at the International Sambo Center in the "Luzhniki" sports complex. As a result, Kyrgyz sambo wrestlers managed to win three bronze medals. The medalists were:
- Alai Sartov (in the category up to 71 kg, sport sambo);
- Jandos Esengaziev (up to 79 kg, sport sambo);
- Adil Turatbek uulu (up to 64 kg, combat sambo).
The competition featured the strongest representatives of Kyrgyzstan, as well as athletes from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, and Russia.
