In Kyrgyzstan, there are about 20 ski resorts, mainly located in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions. This was reported by Erdenet Kasymov, the director of the Tourism Department, during a broadcast of the program "Elden Sobol" on the "Kabar" television channel.
According to him, in the current winter season, 10-12 resorts actively welcomed guests. In early January, approximately 4,000 people were vacationing daily at some of these resorts.
Kasymov noted that various activities are being held to expand the tourism offerings. In particular, the Association of Ski Instructors is operating, which organizes competitions and festivals aimed at promoting winter tourism.
