The situation in the Middle East. Where are Kyrgyz citizens traveling now and where have tours become cheaper

The escalating tension in the Middle East has had a noticeable impact on the tourism sector in Kyrgyzstan. Representatives of travel companies note that the demand for trips to the countries of the Persian Gulf has significantly decreased, and there is a growing interest in alternative destinations.

According to Talant Ozokeiev, the founder of a large travel agency, many Kyrgyz citizens have become less willing to travel, especially to Dubai, Qatar, and Kuwait. He states that currently, sales of tours to these countries have virtually come to a halt.

Tour operators are forced to redirect clients to other destinations, primarily to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Hainan Island.

A decrease in interest is also observed for Egypt, as travelers are concerned about the proximity of this region to Israel.

Prices for tours have also changed. Ozokeiev points out that trips to Egypt and Turkey have become cheaper, while some destinations in Southeast Asia, on the contrary, have become more expensive.

Experts predict that for the upcoming season, tourist routes in the Middle East may become practically inaccessible, and travelers' attention will be focused on Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam.
