Geologist Boarding House for Those Who Love the Soviet Era
A large number of hotels and boarding houses have been built near the lake, some of which were constructed during the Soviet era and are still in operation today. One of them is the "Geologist" boarding house, built back in 1980, located in the settlement of Sary-Oy, previously known as the village of Kurskoye. For 11 years, it welcomed Soviet workers for vacations in a quiet and secluded place, where a large number of trees and oddly shaped bushes grow. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was purchased and slightly modernized, but the territory remains untouched.
