The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, handed over 10 Perkins Brailler Classic typewriters using the Braille system to the Special Boarding School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children in Bishkek.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, during the Prime Minister's visit to this educational institution in September last year, the need for typewriters for effective Braille education was highlighted.

More than 3 million soms were allocated from the reserve fund of the Cabinet for the purchase of 20 typewriters, of which 10 have already arrived in Bishkek, while the remaining ones will be sent to the Special General Education Boarding School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children in Osh.

“These typewriters are an extremely important tool for the educational process. They promote systematic and practical training in writing using the Braille system, develop children's skills for independent work, fine motor skills, and concentration. This also assists teachers in organizing lessons and enhances the quality of education, allowing for the implementation of corrective, educational, and social aspects within a unified pedagogical system,” the Cabinet noted.

Additionally, issues concerning the operation of the institution during the visit were discussed.
