The press service of the Ministry of Education reported that 21,844 students participated in this stage, of which 1,606 schoolchildren managed to advance to the III (regional/city) stage of the Olympiad.
Distribution of participants by regions (number of participants and those who advanced to the III stage):
- City of Bishkek — 2,807 participants, of which 146 advanced to the next stage;
- City of Osh — 148 participants, 34 advanced;
- Issyk-Kul Region — 2,545 participants, 189 advanced;
- Osh Region — 2,418 participants, 230 advanced;
- Naryn Region — 2,090 participants, 115 advanced;
- Talas Region — 1,221 participants, 124 advanced;
- Batken Region — 1,487 participants, 181 advanced;
- Chui Region — 3,737 participants, 272 advanced;
- Jalal-Abad Region — 5,391 participants, 315 advanced.
The Olympiad covered the following subjects:
- mathematics, English language, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history;
- for classes with instruction in the Kyrgyz language: Kyrgyz language and literature, Russian language and literature;
- for classes with instruction in the Russian language: Kyrgyz language and literature, Russian language and literature.
