On January 17, significant deterioration of weather conditions is predicted in Kyrgyzstan: snow is possible in some areas, and in certain regions, intense precipitation is expected. Additionally, wet snow may accumulate on wires and trees, as reported by Kyrgyzhydromet.

Fog is also possible in some places. Snow drifts and ice slicks will be observed on the roads, and snowdrifts are expected in mountainous areas. The strength of the western wind may reach 15-20 m/s in some places.

From January 17 to 19, a significant drop in temperature is forecasted. In the Chui and Talas valleys, nighttime temperatures will drop to -9…-14 degrees, while daytime temperatures will range from -1…-6. In southern regions such as Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken, nighttime temperatures will vary from -2 to -7, and during the day from -2 to +3. In the foothills, nighttime temperatures are expected to be -11…-16, and daytime temperatures -2…-7. In the Issyk-Kul basin, nighttime temperatures will be -7…-12, and during the day -4…+1. In the Naryn region and mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures may fall to -23…-28, while daytime temperatures will reach -9…-14. In high-altitude areas, nighttime temperatures can range from -26 to -31, and during the day -9…-14. In the Suusamyr Valley, temperatures are expected to drop to -30…-35 at night and -11…-16 during the day.

Such adverse weather conditions may hinder operations in the fields of communications, energy, and utilities. During heavy precipitation, visibility on the roads will deteriorate, creating problems for transportation.

Due to the upcoming precipitation, from January 16 to 18, the risk of avalanches is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan and on the roads, as well as snowdrifts and icy conditions:

- Bishkek—Osh (121-138 km);

- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya (68-74 km, 86-101 km);

- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash (0-3 km);

- Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alayku (65-110 km);

- Karakol—Enilchek (45-90 km);

- Balikchy—Kazar-Man—Jalal-Abad (326-349 km).

When passing through avalanche-prone areas on the roads, drivers should maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
