The laboratories under the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic have successfully passed accreditation according to the international standards GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, these laboratories can now use the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) emblem, which is a mark of quality covering over 43,000 laboratories in 70 countries.

The Ministry emphasized that the research results concerning air, water, and soil conducted in the laboratories of Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad now hold legal validity on the international stage and can be used in international legal proceedings.

The obtained accreditation also indicates that the equipment used, research methods, and the level of qualification of specialists meet international standards.

This step is an important element of the long-term strategy for modernizing the environmental safety system in Kyrgyzstan.
