In the Kadamjai district, in the village of Kalacha, the company OsOO "Interfruit" successfully implemented several projects aimed at developing the processing industry and enhancing the export potential of local products from 2017 to 2019.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, construction of a dried fruit processing workshop began in 2017. In June 2018, the facility was officially opened with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the food and processing industry, and the irrigation sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project was made possible with the support of the USAID program "Agricultural Horizon".
The total cost of construction amounted to 16.65 million soms, of which:
- 14 million soms — for the construction and equipping of the processing workshop;
- 2.65 million soms — for the construction of a cold storage facility.
In 2019, OsOO "Interfruit" carried out another important project — the construction of a cold storage facility for 100 tons. The total cost of the project was 91 thousand US dollars, of which 40,450 dollars were allocated by USAID, and the remaining part was invested by the company. Construction was completed on July 1, and the official opening took place on July 30.
Additionally, the enterprise expressed its readiness to produce compote mixtures in any volumes. In this regard, it was proposed to conduct negotiations through authorized state bodies with OJSC "Kyrgyz Agriholding" to explore the possibility of purchasing products produced by "Interfruit".
