In the Toktogul district, agricultural projects are actively developing, reports the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Today, November 12, a meeting was held in Toktogul with Baktygul Osmonova, the head of the cooperative "Sadyraly," where plans for agricultural development in the region were discussed.
Currently, raspberries and strawberries are being grown on an area of 30-40 hectares in the district, and efforts are underway to increase the area of crops. As part of addressing the issue of crop storage, the cooperative plans to build a cold storage facility and a warehouse for storing products with a capacity of 300 tons. For these purposes, 7 million soms have been allocated from the regional development fund and 2 million soms from the district budget. The opening of the new facility is scheduled for December 2025, as stated in the report.
Additionally, a modern livestock slaughter point is being constructed in the Tegerek area, with a cost of 10.745 million soms, of which 2.745 million soms are allocated from the district development fund.
In the Abdy-Suyorkulov rural area, a fish farming project worth 35 million soms is being implemented, with 5 million soms allocated from the regional fund.
It is emphasized that the implementation of these initiatives will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector and processing in the district, as well as the creation of new jobs for local residents.
