On January 22, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance, during which Deputy Minister of Finance U. Kalenderov met with F. Goya, the regional procurement manager of the World Bank.
During the discussion, the parties examined the process of modernizing the public procurement system, focusing on increasing transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness of procurement procedures.
Kalenderov noted that the Ministry of Finance continues to work on improving procurement methodology and strengthening its institutional capacity, as well as implementing digital tools to enhance the openness of processes.
Goya, for his part, highly praised Kyrgyzstan's progress and confirmed the World Bank's readiness to provide further expert assistance, including support in implementing the activities outlined in the reform roadmap.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue coordinating their actions and exchanging information for the successful implementation of reforms in the field of public procurement.
