The speaker urged the cabinet to respond to the rise in prices in the service sector

The speaker of the upper house of parliament, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, spoke at a meeting where he reported a significant number of complaints received from citizens regarding the rise in prices for various services.

He emphasized that the greatest increase in prices is observed in cafes and restaurants, where prices have risen by 10-15%.

“The law prohibiting the collection of service charges in public catering establishments has not negatively affected entrepreneurs. They simply included these costs in the price of dishes. Before initiating such bills, it is important to conduct a thorough analysis. Prices for services such as hairdressers, taxis, cafes, and restaurants in Bishkek exceed those in major world cities. The Cabinet of Ministers should pay special attention to this,” the speaker noted.
