At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova expressed dissatisfaction with the requirements of exchange offices. According to her, when exchanging amounts over 100,000 soms, it is necessary to provide certificates of the origin of funds.
The deputy pointed out that these measures were introduced by the National Bank.
“It is unclear what reasons prompted the National Bank to impose such bureaucratic obstacles? Many people have salaries of 100,000 soms, and workers in the Ministry of Construction earn up to 500,000. Why impose such restrictions? Why is digitalization not advancing? It turns out that citizens and small businesses must constantly provide certificates? This attitude towards people is unacceptable. These issues need to be resolved,” she stated.
