Bishkek and JICA confirmed their intention to expand economic cooperation



On January 30, a meeting took place in Bishkek between Bakyt Sydykov, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, and Yoshifumi Yoshikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). According to information provided by the agency, the meeting discussed the long-standing and successful cooperation between the government of Kyrgyzstan and JICA within the framework of various joint initiatives.

Bakyt Sydykov presented the goals of the Kyrgyz Republic's government related to ensuring sustainable economic growth and comprehensive development of the country, as well as highlighted key priorities in accordance with the medium-term National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.

Among the topics discussed were projects such as "One Village - One Product," which has become a vivid example of effective interaction, and the JDS program aimed at developing human capital.

As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed their desire to continue joint work, focusing on improving current projects and expanding other areas of cooperation.
