Kyrgyzstan has received official permission to export honey to the countries of the European Union. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, a meeting was held in this context with honey producers led by Adilet Sotovaldiyev, the director of the Veterinary Service, as well as livestock development, pastures, and feed.
During the event, important aspects related to the creation of a roadmap for export, strengthening the position of Kyrgyz honey in the European market, and ensuring compliance of the products with international quality standards were discussed.
It should be noted that the European Commission has allowed the export of honey from Kyrgyzstan and added it to the list of goods subject to technical requirements for import into the EU.
This success is the result of the systematic work of the Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as cooperation with partners from the European Union.
The ministry emphasized that this decision opens new horizons for local beekeepers, allowing them to increase export volumes, enhance the competitiveness of their products in the international arena, and create conditions for access to new markets.
Work to expand the list of livestock products permitted for export to EU countries will continue, helping Kyrgyz producers strengthen their positions in the European market.
