The Minister of Transport and Communications Abdykarim Syrgabaev announced plans for the implementation of significant road projects in the country this year. One of the main initiatives will be the construction of the Barskoon – Bedel – Uch-Turfan road, which will become the third transport corridor connecting Kyrgyzstan with China.
In addition, the minister emphasized the need to complete the Balykchy – Barskoon – Karakol road by August 31. This project will require about 8 billion soms. There are also plans to build the Naryn – Bayetov road, which will be 120 kilometers long. The first layer of asphalt has already been laid on a 30-kilometer section, and this year the completion of the work and the commissioning of the road are expected.
Syrgabaev added that the construction of the Northern Bypass Road of Bishkek will also be underway. This road will be of the first category in the country, it will have six lanes and include overpass bridges. The main goal of this project is to eliminate traffic jams in the city.
