In the Kadamjay district of the Batken region, citrus fruits are successfully cultivated thanks to the implementation of modern phytotechnologies. This was reported by the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry Bakyt Torobaev at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to agricultural policy and environmental protection.
According to the minister, various varieties of citrus fruits are grown in the region, including mandarins, oranges, lemons, and kumquats.
Bakyt Torobaev emphasized that the area allocated for seedlings has significantly increased: in 2023 it was 801 hectares, and by 2025 it increased to 1,056 hectares.
The production of tropical fruits last year amounted to 7,149 tons.
