At a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with agricultural policy, ecology, and water resources, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry Bakyt Torobaev presented a report on preparations for spring fieldwork.
According to him, 15 protocols have been signed with China regarding export directions, and the creation of three new ones is also planned. In addition, 17 types of products are being exported without the presence of protocols.
“Within the framework of cooperation with the EAEU countries, 462 enterprises are operating. The ministry has received permission to export honey to the countries of the European Union. In 2025, the total volume of agricultural products amounted to 459 billion soms, which is 62.9 million soms more than in the previous period. The processing industry produced goods worth 104 billion soms, an increase of 16 billion soms,” the minister added.
Torobaev noted that record harvests were collected in some regions: in the Jayil district, 120 tons of tomatoes were harvested from one hectare, in the Leilek district - 113 tons of onions, in the Manas district - 120 tons of peppers, and in the Kochkor district - 30–35 tons of potatoes.
