The Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, announced an initiative aimed at developing farming during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh — the transition to breeding purebred livestock. According to him, this change should contribute to improving productivity and reducing the burden on pastures.

Additionally, the minister reported plans to create a state enterprise called "Kyrgyz Zhayit," which will regulate the use of pastures and conduct monitoring and restoration activities.
Torobaev noted that approximately 252 million soms are collected annually from pasture use, which goes to municipal services. However, he emphasized that these funds are not always used for the development of pasture infrastructure.

The minister also added that transitioning to breeding purebred livestock will allow for cost optimization. "Instead of two cows, it's better to keep one purebred," he emphasized. To support farmers, preferential loans with an interest rate of 3% per annum are provided, and the use of biostimulants to improve pastures is also being considered.
