An independent analyst, Tynchtyk Altymyshev, shared his ideas on stabilizing meat prices in Kyrgyzstan during the broadcast of the program "Elden Sobol" on the news agency "Kabar." He emphasized that simply demanding a reduction in prices is an incorrect approach that ignores the labor and costs of farmers.
According to the expert, to achieve lower meat prices, it is necessary to consider the situation as a whole. It is important to take into account areas such as veterinary medicine, epizootics, feed production, and pasture conditions. As an example, he cited Kazakhstan, where the "Kazakhstan-2050" program operates, under which the government provides subsidies of up to 70% to agrarians. This allows for special attention to be given to the meat cluster. Altymyshev noted that he personally observed a Kazakh farmer who owns 14,000 heads of Angus cattle. The government covers 70% of his credit expenses for feed and livestock purchases, which in turn has helped Kazakhstan achieve food independence in the meat sector.
