As reported by the press service of the regional police department, on October 31, 2025, a report was received at the Issyk-Kul district police department about illegal fishing near the village of Ananyevo, as well as the presence of two units of firearms of unknown model with the offenders.
An investigative group from the Ananyevo village police station arrived at the scene. During the inspection, 87 fish and two firearms were discovered and seized from a resident of Ananyevo, A.I., born in 1990.
The fact has been registered with the Issyk-Kul district police department, and a criminal case has been initiated under Article 310 ("Illegal hunting or fishing of fish or aquatic animals") of the Criminal Code.
During the investigation, suspects who may be involved in the illegal activity have been identified — these are A.I., a resident of Ananyevo, born in 1990, A.Z., a resident of the village of Orto-Oruktu, born in 1991, and B.Z., also a resident of Orto-Oruktu, born in 1993.
During searches at the suspects' residences, 11 units of firearms, ammunition, and equipment for their manufacture were seized from A.I. Rubber boots and two life vests were found with A.Z.
According to the regional police, A.I. and A.Z. were interrogated as suspects and placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Currently, the regional department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision for the Issyk-Kul region is conducting relevant examinations. The investigation is ongoing.
