Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu elected speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan

Today, December 17, the deputies of the VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan discussed the election of a new speaker of parliament.

According to the regulations, the first meeting is conducted by the oldest deputy, Gulai Mashrapova.

The groups of deputies "Ata-Jurt", "Ala-Too", "Eldik", "Mekenchil", and "Adilet Kyrgyzstan" proposed the candidacy of Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu for the position of speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
To discuss this issue, the Jogorku Kenesh transitioned to the Committee of the entire Jogorku Kenesh, where the deputies elected Ulan Primov as chairman. The Committee then unanimously supported the candidacy of Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu for the position of speaker.

After that, the deputies returned to the work of the Jogorku Kenesh to conduct the election of the speaker.

As a result of a secret ballot, in which ballots were used, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu was elected as the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, receiving support from 84 deputies.

The Jogorku Kenesh made the corresponding decision.
