According to him, a significant portion of the drainage channels remains open, leading to pollution and siltation.
“The Ministry of Agriculture says that the Ministry of Emergency Situations should clean it, while the Ministry of Emergency Situations says that the Ministry of Agriculture should do it. Out of desperation, people have started cleaning the channels themselves, as spring fieldwork will soon begin,” the deputy stated.
Ulukbek Uzakbaev noted that the lack of clear distribution of responsibilities between agencies forces farmers to clear the channels on their own to save their crops from flooding and soil salinization.
Additionally, the deputy raised the issue of electricity limits in the Suusamyr Valley and some villages in the Talas district.
He asked the government to increase the limit from the current 3 kW, as this amount is insufficient for normal heating of homes and household needs in winter at temperatures of -30 degrees.
