Cultural workers are receiving the news of the upcoming salary increase with optimism. This was reported by Suubek Nadyrbekov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, during a broadcast on Birinchi Radio.
“The salary increase for cultural workers was announced by President Sadyr Japarov. We are receiving numerous questions on this topic. This issue was discussed at the People's Kurultai, where a decision was made to increase salaries by 100% starting in April 2026. Currently, we are actively working on implementing this decision,” Nadyrbekov emphasized.
He also noted that previous salary increases had occurred, but on a much smaller scale. “Some workers have received very low pay for a long time. Now, thanks to the government's initiative, their salaries are being doubled for the first time, which is excellent news,” he added.
