Members of the Central Election Commission participated in an international conference in India

Representatives of the Central Election Commission, including Uzarbek Zhilkybaev and a staff member from the election organization department, participated in an International Conference dedicated to issues of democracy and electability, which took place in New Delhi, India.

According to the press service of the CEC, this event was organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Indian International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in partnership with International IDEA, as part of India's presidency in this international organization, scheduled for 2026.

The conference gathered heads of electoral bodies from countries that are members of International IDEA, as well as representatives from other states, to discuss current challenges and opportunities in electoral administration, exchange experiences, and best practices.

During the event, participants from the CEC attended a closed plenary session where key areas of work for the member countries of International IDEA were discussed.
