- In the process of determining patent rates, it is important to consider both economic conditions and the principle of fairness, as stated on the radio by Eldiyar Mambetov, head of the Operational Control Department of the Tax Service.

According to Mambetov, in large cities such as the capital, a pawnshop requires significant investments and works with more expensive assets, which justifies a higher patent rate. At the same time, in regions such as Batken and Jalal-Abad, pawnshops typically have lower turnover and income. Thus, the size of the patent rate reflects the economic potential of a specific region,” he clarified.

Mambetov also provided an example: “Opening a pawnshop in Karakol will cost 6-8 thousand soms per month, while in the center of the capital, this amount can reach 20 thousand soms. Additionally, the size of the patent depends on the area occupied by the pawnshop and the number of branches. Each branch calculates its rate individually, taking into account its location and area,” he added.

According to him, the tax obligations of each pawnshop are formed in accordance with its location and the nature of its economic activity.
