On January 24, 2026, police officers, working together with other government agencies, conducted a raid in the area of the Papan reservoir in the Kara-Suu district.
During the inspection, it was revealed that a 38-year-old resident of the city of Osh, A.T., violated the rules for transporting smoothbore firearms—he was transporting it without a special case, although he had all the necessary permits from the internal affairs authorities.
Based on Article 133 of the Code of Offenses, this citizen was fined 3000 soms.
The department emphasized that citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can store, transport, and use firearms only with the appropriate permits and in accordance with the established procedure.
