Today, January 27, a meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government, and Regulations was held in the Jogorku Kenesh, during which the draft of a new version of the text and music of the National Anthem of Kyrgyzstan was discussed. The meeting was attended by members of the commission responsible for selecting the best version of the anthem, led by the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev.

Kurmanqul Zulushiev, who heads the Committee, reported that three different versions of the text and music of the National Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic were submitted for parliamentary consideration.

Mirbek Mambetaliev spoke about the commission's work process, which included Chynara Umetalieva and Syrtbay Musaev, emphasizing the importance of this task. They noted that not every composer is capable of creating an anthem, and over the course of a year, they managed to evaluate the submitted works, from which three versions were selected.

Zulushiev also added that all three proposed versions do not exceed the quality of the current anthem, both in terms of text and musical arrangement, and cannot be accepted as a complete solution.

Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev expressed the opinion that the anthem should inspire citizens and reflect common values. He suggested extending the competition so that participants could present stronger and more relevant works for the anthem.

As a result of the discussion, the Committee recommended rejecting all three versions of the text and music of the National Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic, passing this decision to the Jogorku Kenesh for consideration.
