During today's meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government, and the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, a draft resolution on a new version of the text and music of the National Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic was considered.

The meeting gathered representatives of the commission responsible for selecting the best project for the new version of the anthem, including the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev.

Kurmanqul Zulushyev, the chairman of the Committee, reported that three alternative versions of the text and musical accompaniment of the national anthem had been submitted for parliamentary consideration.

Minister Mambetaliev spoke about the commission's selection process, where his colleagues Chynara Umetalieva and Syrtbai Musaev emphasized the importance of this task, noting that not every composer is capable of creating an anthem. "Over the year, we analyzed all the submitted works and ultimately selected three options," they added.

In Kurmanqul Zulushyev's opinion, none of the three proposed versions surpass the existing anthem in terms of content, text, or musical arrangement, making them unsuitable for adoption.

Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev expressed the view that the anthem should inspire citizens and reflect common values, suggesting extending the competition to allow for the presentation of new, more meaningful works that align with the spirit of the anthem.

As a result of the discussion, the Committee recommended rejecting all three versions of the text and music of the National Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic.
