
The exercises titled "Indestructible Brotherhood - 2026" involving the peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are scheduled for October in Belarus. This was announced by the CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov in an interview for the media published on the "Allies. CSTO" platform.
During the event, traditional exercises such as "Interaction," "Search," "Echelon," and "Frontier" are expected to take place. These exercises annually include the practice of various aspects of troop preparation, taking into account the latest combat experience, Masadykov noted, adding that the command-staff exercise "Indestructible Brotherhood - 2026" will be held specifically on the territory of Belarus.
Furthermore, Masadykov emphasized that the CSTO will enhance coordination in the area of biological threat prevention to create an effective biological security system. In this context, a special exercise "Barrier-2026" will also take place in October, continuing the practice of joint efforts to eliminate biological threats in the interests of CSTO peacekeeping forces.
The CSTO Secretary General added that the organization intends to strengthen its capacity and experience in combating various challenges and threats, including terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, as well as issues related to illegal migration and information technology crimes. Masadykov also reported that practical activities will continue in the format of special operations with conditional names "Mercenary," "Channel," "Illegal," and "PROXY."
