The Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Yoshikawa Yoshifumi, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaiev. According to information provided by the Cabinet of Ministers, the discussion focused on a number of projects that have been implemented in the republic with the support of JICA.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on successful long-term initiatives that have significantly contributed to improving the living conditions of citizens. The "One Village - One Product" program and the Japanese Government Scholarship Program (JDS) were mentioned as examples of successful cooperation.
The parties also reviewed current projects related to the provision of grants and technical assistance, covering areas such as transportation, healthcare, energy, and human resource development.
It should be noted that 43 projects have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of JICA. This year, the agency marks 25 years since the opening of its representative office in the country.
