During the latest meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, important issues were discussed. High-ranking representatives of the presidential administration, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as authorized representatives of the president in the regions participated in the meeting.

One of the key agenda items was the draft Law on Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Electric Power Industry." The main goal of the draft law is to support the development of renewable energy sources, which includes increasing the maximum capacity of facilities using these sources from 30 to 50 MW. This innovation is aimed at attracting larger investments. Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev presented the project, which was supported by colleagues.

Next, the participants of the meeting reviewed the results of the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers' action plan for 2025. The report was delivered by Nurbek Tashbekov, head of the Department of Political and Economic Research of the presidential administration.

The results of the work of ministries, state agencies, the mayors of Bishkek and Osh, as well as the authorized representatives of the president in the regions, regarding the fulfillment of established tasks were also discussed. Despite the successes achieved, some heads of departments will face disciplinary measures for shortcomings in their work.

According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a methodology for assessing the implementation of the Action Plan, which is applied annually. This year it was also used.

“We see many positive results; however, there are also a number of issues that remain unresolved for various reasons. Our task is not only to assess the work of government agencies but also to ensure high-quality implementation of the National Development Program of the country through the execution of the Cabinet of Ministers' action plan. Only with strict executive discipline can we accelerate socio-economic development and improve the living standards of our citizens,” noted Kasymaliev.

As part of the program for 2025, many significant events were carried out. The performance of government agencies was assessed based on 292 activities, including monitoring and analysis of execution in areas such as industry, agriculture, transport, energy, digitalization, investments, construction, and the social sphere.
