In the city of Osh, an attempt to illegally change the course of the Jöö bas canal has been recorded, as reported by the press service of the city administration.
On February 1 of this year, the municipal inspection of the city of Osh conducted an inspection regarding unauthorized construction work at 254 Alymbek-Datka Street.

As a result of the inspection, violations were identified, committed by the company "Unite Development." Protocols were drawn up against two excavator drivers in accordance with the Code of Offenses, and they received fines.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the owner of the site located in the protective zone of the canal attempted to illegally change the course. Relevant municipal and regulatory bodies were called to the scene," the statement said.

According to the city administration, the owners intended to redirect the canal and build a business center. The necessary acts have been drawn up in this case, and the materials have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further investigation. A legal assessment will be provided in accordance with current legislation.

The city administration reminds that changes to the course of canals are unacceptable. Any earthworks related to canals (including excavations and changes to the course) must be carried out only with the permission of the relevant state and municipal authorities. Measures will be taken in accordance with established norms for violations of these rules.
