The building that previously served as a branch of the International University of Kyrgyzstan has once again become municipal property and is currently undergoing major renovations. This kindergarten, located on Kokum-Biy Street in Osh, is designed for 280 places and creates all the necessary modern conditions for children.

According to the press service of the capital construction management of the city hall, the building was transferred to private hands in 1998 in violation of the law. However, in 2025, after legal disputes, it was returned to the city hall's balance and repurposed as a kindergarten. During the renovation, both the facade and the interior were completely updated.

On January 8, the mayor of the city visited the site and familiarized himself with the progress of the work. He noted that this building had changed owners for 30-40 years and had been used for various purposes, including a university, a school, and even a barracks. “We went to court, won the case, and now, using budget funds, we are conducting major repairs. This will be a kindergarten for 280 places,” the head of the municipality said.

He also emphasized that there are no preschool institutions in the area from Kokum-Biy Street to the village of Kenesh, which forces parents to take their children to kindergartens located in the city center.
